See change happen: The Bududa Water Project
In Uganda’s Bududa district, families struggle to get clean water. They spend hours walking up steep and dangerous paths to fetch water, a necessity for their wellbeing and farming.
Our team saw these difficulties up close. People carried heavy water containers on risky trails every single day. We wanted to make a change. We are building wells to remove the need for these long and dangerous water trips. We have faced issues such as broken equipment that has caused delays, but our team is determined and working hard to bring working wells to Bududa.
We know that when we succeed in building the wells, it will remove the need for long, daily water trips, so that children will be able to attend school instead of fetching water, and adults will have more time to tend to their small farms. Both for their own sustenance and for profit.
